Spartans Best Women's Finish Ever at IIAC Championships

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA - The University of Dubuque Women's Cross Country team finished with the lowest point total ever and the highest finish ever when they placed 5th in the 2012 Iowa Conference Cross Country Championships with a score of 159.

Senior Megan Bloedow (Gays Mills, Wis./Boscobel) lead the Spartan with a time of 24:07.8 to earn 24th place. Bloedow has best the top Spartans finisher in all seven races this season. Brenda Nava (Chicago, Ill./Lane Tech) also finished in the Top 30 with her 28th place finish at 24:56.4.

Freshman Kelly Lesniak (Spring Hill, Tenn./Independence) and Kelly Hauber (Ridgeway, Iowa/South Winn.) each ran personal best 6k times.
