Borah Scores Three Goals in Loss

LISLE, Ill. - The University of Dubuque women's lacrosse team battled light snow flurries and wind on Tuesday night while playing on the road, but it was the host Benedictine University which captured the match-up 19-4. Judy Borah led the Spartans offensive with three unassisted goals, teammate Nicole Pacheco added a late goal at the 7:43 mark to cap off the scoring.

The Spartans trailed at halftime 2-15, but held the hosts to just four points in the final 30 minutes of play. UD was out shot in the game 36-11, trailed Benedictine in ground balls 32-62 and in face-offs 9-16. UD ended the evening with five clears and forced Benedictine into committing 11 turnovers. 

Borah leads the Spartans with six goals and an assist for 7 points in 15 shots and has won 3-6 face-offs. Goalie Dionna Atwood has 13 saves while facing 61 shot attempts. 

The Spartans are 0-2 and will play Missouri Baptist Univ. at Robert Morris Univ. in Chicago on March 30.
