Spartans Travel to Aurora

AURORA, ILLINOIS – The University of Dubuque Women’s Lacrosse team took their game on the road on Tuesday afternoon to take on Aurora University (2-9). In the battle of the Spartans, UD was on the losing end of a 21-3 decision. Dubuque is now 0-8 in their inaugural season.
Leading the Spartans with two goals on three shots was Bridget Schirmers (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids). Schirmers has scored in each of the last four games played for a total of seven goals. Nicole Pacheco (Addison, Ill./Addison Trail) scored on a free position shot just before the end of the first half while also assisting on Schirmers first goal of the game.
Dionna Atwood (Melrose Park, Ill./Jones Prep) recorded 11 saves in goal.
UP NEXT: The Spartans will travel to Kenosha, Wis. to take on Carthage College (6-5) on Saturday, April 13th at 6:00 pm.
