UD Softball Ranked in NCAA Regional Poll

DUBUQUE, IOWA – The University of Dubuque Softball team made school history by making its first ever appearance in the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Softball Rankings. The Spartans are #8 in the May 2nd Midwest Region Rankings. UD is 15-17 overall, 12-13 in region and 7-7 in the Iowa Conference.
The Spartans have played one of the toughest schedules in the nation with 11 of 32 games coming against teams that are regionally ranked. UD is 3-8 in those games with two wins against #5 Simpson and one win against #2 Central. In addition to the Spartans eight IIAC games against ranked teams, UD has played UW-Oshkosh (#7 in Great Lakes), UW-Stout (#8 in Great Lakes), and Amherst (#7 in New England).
