Women's Tennis Improves to 3-1

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's tennis team improved their overall record to 3-1 on Wednesday afternoon after capturing the dual match by a 6-3 score over the Knox College Prairiefire.
Senior Janine Wegner (Pittsville, Wis.) improved her record to 8-0 this season, a perfect 4-0 at #6 singles and 4-0 at #2 and #3 doubles with teammate Alexandra Dixon (So., Camanche, Iowa).
The Spartans dropped their season opener, but have since rallied back to capture the following three matches on the season. UD will host the Central College Dutch at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7 at Frank Farber tennis Courts. Following the match will be UD Vs. the Simpson College Storm scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
