Women's Soccer Remains Perfect

DUBUQUE, IOWA - The University of Dubuque Women's Soccer team improved to 5-0 on the year with a 1-0 victory over Dominican University. The Spartans 5-0 start matches the 2002 team for the best start in school history. UD finished with a 26-6 lead in shots and 15-2 advantage in corner kicks.

The Spartans jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a goal by Liz Frazier (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) in the 10th minute of play. Frazier received the ball from Alexandra Watkins (Northbrook, Ill./Glenbrook North) and drilled home a shot from just outside the box. The goal by Frazier was her second of the year. 

Tiffany Duncan (Hartford, Wis./Hartford Union) finished with two saves to earn the shutout victory. 

Frazier led UD with seven shots and four shots on goal. Katie Lynn (Fox River Grove, Ill./Barrington) put three shots on goal including two headers off corner kicks. 

Duncan, Frazier, Lynn, Watkins, Kelsey Graefen, Melanie Prudhomme, Melissa Sawyer, Megan Siepler, and Lauren Waddell have started all five games this year.
