Dr. Saunders is head of the Biology Department at the University of Northern Iowa. His research interests include Coagulation Mechanisms in Hibernating Reptiles and Amphibians, and The Effect of Red Blood Cell Size on Red Blood Cell Strength. Saunders earned his PhD from Kansas State University.
