Bradshaw Named to D3football.com Team of the Week

DUBUQUE, IOWA - University of Dubuque senior Bryan Bradshaw (Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge) has been named to the Week 9 (Nov. 1-2) D3football.com Team of the Week presented by Scoutware. 

Bradshaw set UD and Iowa Conference records with 500 yards passing and 513 yards of total offense in the Spartans 50-46 loss at Simpson. He completed 27 of 39 pass attempts with 4 touchdowns and no interceptions in the game. The senior quarterback also ran for 13 yards on seven attempts. The Spartans Shawn Tate had prevously held both records with 499 yards passing and 501 yards of total offense. Tate set both records versus Buena Vista on October 12, 1996. 

Nationally, Bradshaw ranks seventh in NCAA Division III with 24 touchdown passes and is eighth with 301.3 passing yards per game. His 2,410 passing yards is the ninth best total in DIII. The senior signal caller also boasts a 148.2 passing efficiency ranking which is 36th nationally. He has thrown a touchdown pass in all eight games this season. 

Within the Iowa Conference, Bradshaw leads the league in passing yards (2,410), passing yards per game (301.3), passing touchdowns (24), and pass attempts (298). He is second in the IIAC in completions (174), touchdown to interception ratio (24:7), and attempts per interception (42.57). 

Through eight games Bradshaw's 2013 season totals are already among the best ever at Dubuque. His 2,410 passing yards ranks fifth all-time while his 24 touchdown passes ties him for the third best single season total in UD history.

UP NEXT: The Spartans will host Loras College (1-7, 0-5) in the "Key City Clash" on November 9th. Kick off at Chalmers Field is scheduled for Noon. The Spartans 16 seniors will be honored before the game as part of Senior Day.
