Spartans Season Ends In IIAC Tourney

DECORAH, Iowa - The University of Dubuque volleyball team's season ended on Tuesday night in the opening round of the 2013 Iowa Conference volleyball tournament with a 1-3 loss to the Luther College Norse. UD lost the first set 14-25, battled back to extend the second set and captured the set 27-25. With the match tied 1-1, the host Norse rallied back to capture the third set 25-17 and took the victory by winning the fourth set 25-8.
The loss knocked the #5-seeded Spartans out of the conference tournament and ended their season with a 12-21 overall record.
