Delta Phi Sigma to Host Ugly Sweater 5K Run/Walk

University of Dubuque student organization Delta Phi Sigma will host an Ugly Sweater 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, December 8. This non-timed event for fun and charity will benefit Dubuque’s local Toys for Tots Foundation. Participants are invited to grab their ugliest sweater (not required, but recommended) or other festive clothing, lace up their running shoes, and join the fun on a scenic Grandview Avenue route.
Race information:
When: December 8, 2013
Race Start: 11:00 a.m.
Where: Start and Finish on the University of Dubuque Campus Quadrangle
Run/Walk route will follow Grandview Avenue.
Registration: Participants may register by emailing their name, address, and cell phone number to:

Participants must fill out a waiver (obtained at check-in) prior to beginning the race.
If you are under 18, this waiver must be signed by a parent or guardian in order to participate.
Cost: Pre-registration fee (until December 4):
$15.00 per race participant; $5 for race T-Shirt
DAY OF registration fee:
$20.00 per participant; $10 for race T-shirt
Additional monetary donations and/or new, unwrapped toys are encouraged.
Interested persons are welcome to volunteer to help with a variety of race-day activities, including: sign-up/registration; start- and finish-line hydration, runner information (stationed at multiple race sites).
