Spartans Set for Iowa Conference Indoor Championships

DECORAH, IOWA - The University of Dubuque Track & Field teams are set to compete in the 2014 Iowa Conference Indoor Championships on the campus of Luther College. The championships are set to begin on Friday, February 28th with the Heptathlon and Pentathlon at 10:0 am. Field Events begin at 11:00 am with the Pole Vault. Track Events get started with the Women's 5,000m Run at 6:00 pm. Action continues on Saturday, March 1st at 9:00 am. The weekend wraps up with the 4x400 meter relays at 4:10 and 4:20 pm on Saturday afternoon. Medal presentations for all events will take place following the 4x400m relays.

The Spartans hosted the 2013 IIAC Indoor Championships inside the Chlapaty Recreation and Wellness Center. The UD men finished in third place with 107 points while the women tied for sixth place with 38.5 points. The Dubuque men are ranked sixth in the Central Region by the United States Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The UD women are ranked ninth in the USTFCCCA Central Region Poll for Week 5.
