Spartans Named as Football Pre-Season All-Americans

ROSELAND, N.J. – The University of Dubuque football team is honored to have five Spartans named to the 2014 USA College Football Pre-Season Division III All-American list for this fall. Tyler Rutenbeck (Sr., WR, Maquoketa, Iowa) 1st Team Offense, Dominique Ravenell, (Sr., OL, Forth Worth, Texas) 1st Team Offense, Blaine Snitker (Jr., LB, Waukon, Iowa) 2nd Team Defense, Vincent Whipple (Sr., DB, Eagle Grove, Iowa) 3rd Team Defense, and Reggie Cole Jr. (Jr., DB, Milwaukee, Wis.) Honorable Mention Defense.
The Spartans check-in on Augusta 14 in preparation for their opening contest against the UW-La Crosse Eagles on Sept. 6 at 6:00 p.m. on Chalmers Field. UD is expecting around 159 student-athletes to report for pre-season football for coach Stan Zweifel.The Iowa Conference had 20 student-athletes named to 2014 USA College Football Pre-Season Division III All-Americans:
