Tickets Available Now for University of Dubuque’s Christmas at Heritage Center

The University of Dubuque will present the second annual Christmas at Heritage Center onFriday, December 5, at 7:30 p.m.  This year’s celebration, titled Wondrous Night, will take place in John and Alice Butler Hall.

TICKETS:       $10 for adults; $5 for students; UD faculty/staff/students free of charge – limit of two free tickets per person. 

 

The concert will feature the talents of the University of Dubuque’s Concert Choir, Wind Ensemble, and Chamber Singers, along with special guests including Chicago harpist Nichole Luchs and the Dubuque Senior High School Chamber Orchestra. Student narrators and dancers will also be featured.  

 

Titled Wondrous Night, the concert will follow a Christmas narrative authored and assembled by University of Dubuque Theological Seminary Associate Professor Timothy Slemmons, correlating directly with choral texts and instrumental pieces chosen to tell the story of Christ’s birth in a seamless performance.  Selections will include new arrangements of holiday favorites such as O Holy Night, Simple Gifts, Silent Night, and more. A light reception will follow the performance.
