DES MOINES, Iowa - The 106th Annual Drake Relays is set to begin this week and the University of Dubuque men's and women's teams will be represented in one of the nations most prestigious track and field events. The Drake Relays begins on April 22 and will finish up on April 26 at Drake Stadium, ticket offices will open one hour prior to the start of each session. The women's team qualified two relays, the 4x100 and the 4x200, while UD's men's team qualified the returning NCAA National Division III Outdoor Champion, Rick Valcin, in the pole vault and Ernest Winters in the 100 meter dash, and the 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams.

Women's 4x100 meter relay - Katie Popanz, Brittany Burns, Nickolette McKenzie, Amanda Zbilski (:49.88)

Fans attending the Drake Relays are reminded the security officials reserve the right to restrict any item from the facility that is deemed a potential security hazard. For the safety and enjoyment of all in attendance, the following items are not permitted inside Drake Stadium. No outside food or beverage is allowed inside venue.

The Drake Relays, in consultation with local, regional and national law enforcement agencies, will not permit backpacks or large bags measuring greater than 14x10x8-inches inside Drake Stadium. All smaller purses, bags and personal items will be subject to search upon entry to Drake Stadium. Separate security lines will be established for ticket holders entering with personal smaller bags. Those spectators are encourage to allow additional time to enter the stadium.

All bags and purses are subject to search at any time while inside Drake Stadium gates. Confiscated items may not be returned.
