Spartans Tied for 5th Overall in IIAC All-Sports in 2014-15

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - IIAC has announced the recipients of the league’s All-Sports Championship Awards, indicative of the league’s top men’s and women’s programs as well as the top overall program.
The University of Dubuque women's teams finished sixth in the Marjorie Giles Women’s All-Sports Championship Wartburg with 34.6 points after the Spartans claimed IIAC titles in soccer and basketball, doubling up in soccer by adding the tournament title to earn the automatic berth into the 2014 NCAA Divsision III National Women's Soccer Championships.
The University of Dubuque placed fifth in the Elmer Hertel Men’s All-Sports Championship with 39.8 points after the Spartans tied for second in basketball and took third in indoor track and golf. The Spartans also won the IIAC men’s basketball tournament eraning the berth into the 2015 NCAA Division III National Championships. Overall the Spartans tied for fifth in the overall All-Sports Trophy with seven points.
