Iowa Conference student-athletes must compete at the varsity level, attain a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, and be at least a sophomore in academic standing to be eligible.

Softball and women’s track and field propelled the Spartans to a fourth-place tie with baseball (7), men’s track and field (4), and men’s golf (3) contributing. Wartburg outpaced the field by 13 and led the IIAC with 62 award winners.

UD softball was the lone IIAC leader and tied with Iowa Conference champion, Luther, for the most softball selections.

Sophomore Tanasha Atwater, who was named Iowa Conference women's field MVP at the Iowa Conference outdoor championships, led three Spartans that earned both All-Iowa Conference athletic and academic recognition. Junior third basemen Dalton Garst received Second Team All-IIAC baseball accolades while junior Fabiola Ortiz defended her women's 3000m steeplechase title at the IIAC track and field championships.
