Tejumola Ologboni, Storyteller, Folklorist, and Oral Historian, to Speak at UD

On Wednesday, November 11, the University of Dubuque’s Office of Multicultural Student Engagement will host Tejumola Ologboni (Teju), who will deliver the storytelling that, reflects on longstanding and contemporary cultural perspectives to give listeners a greater understanding of the profound influence of African Heritage on traditions and identities. The storytelling will begin at 7:00 p.m. in Blades Chapel on the University of Dubuque campus. The event is free and open to the public.

Softball Receives NFCA All-Academic Award in 2015

Student-athletes who achieve a 3.5 or better GPA on a 4.0 scale are recognized as National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Scholar Athletes. The NFCA recognizes the top academic teams (by overall GPA) each fall through its academic team program based on previous school year. The University of Dubuque softball team was named a 2014-15 NFCA Division III All-Academic Team and ranked 20th in the country with a team cumulative GPA of 3.470.

Football Ranked #8 in First NCAA Regional Poll

The first regional NCAA Division III poll was released today and the Spartans are ranked #8 in the West Region. This is the first timce since 2011 UD has been listed in the Top-10 in the regional NCAA rankings. The Spartans 6-2 overall and 5-0 in the IIAC edged out Wartburg (7-1 overall) who is ninth. Unbeaten St. Thomas leads the West Region with a perfect 8-0 record.
