Gunnelson and Malm Selected to Participate in USATF Emerging Elite Training Camps

Coach Gunnelson and Coach Malm will attend educational track sessions at the Emerging Elite Camp held at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. from June 20-23.

CHULA VISTA, Calif. – Head Track and Field Coach, Chad Gunnelson, and throwing coach Jake Malm were selected to participate in the USATF Emerging Elite Men’s and Women’s Track & Field Training Camps from June 20-23 at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif.
Gunnelson and Malm were selected through an application process that was based on their previous work in developing student athletes and their projected coaching potential in developing future Olympic medalists. Only members of the USATF and active coaches at the high school, club, or college coaches can participate in the four-day event.
Sessions will be taught on all aspects of track and field by USATF master coach educators and the resident coaching staff at the U.S. Olympic Training Center.
