Men's Basketball Rallies to Win on the Road

CHICAGO, Ill. - The University of Dubuque men's basketball team rallied from a 39-40 halftime deficit to overcome North Park on their home court on Saturday evening by an 89-72 mark. Strong shooting by Kain Arthofer propelled the Spartans to their fifth victory of the season.
Arthofer sank six three point shots and made 12-18 attempts from the field en route to his season high of 33 points. Jacob Mohlis added 24 points while Andre Norris had 19 points and nine defensive rebounds. The Spartans hot shooting second half of 18-30 from the field (60%) distanced them over North Park who shot 44.8% from the field in the game.
UD's defense forced the hosts into committing 16 turnovers of which the Spartans converted into 24 points. UD outscored North Park in the paint 29-22 as both teams would finish with just eight points each from their benches. UD also held the edge in rebounding 39-31.
The Spartans will enjoy a short break for Christmas before hosting the 2015 Jon Davison Classic on December 29-30 in Stoltz Sports Center.
