47 Spartans Named to IIAC Fall Sports All-Academic Team

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – 47 University of Dubuque athletes were named to the 2016 Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic team for the fall sports season.

The Spartans did not have the most athletes in any of the eight sports but had the second most members of the volleyball team with nine, third in women’s and men’s soccer and third in women’s tennis. They were also tied for fourth in women’s cross country.

Women’s Cross Country (7)– Abigail Ray, Bobbi Jo Helgemoe, Jaclyn Roeder, Kayla Kinateder, Kiersten Wenthold, Kristin Mackenburg, Taylor Blair

Football (5)- Cameron Sorensen, Collin Stefanowski, Conor Feckley, Derek Trotter, Jacob Britton

Women’s Golf (2)– Amanda Harrop, Victoria Woltz

Men’s Soccer (7)– Bryan Gramajo, Felipe Sanchez, Gonzalo Hernandez Cascante, Jacob Alstadt, Joey Broms, Patryk Openchowski, Tom Murphy
