Bass Leads Spartans with 12th Place Finish

UW Oskosh Men's Final Results

 

Oshkosh, Wis.- Men’s cross country finished 28th out of 37 teams Saturday in the UW-Oshkosh Kollege Town Sports Cross Country Invitational.

This meet was one of the biggest regional meets of the year with 37 teams participating and the Spartans were led Alec Bass who placed 12th overall for individuals with a time of 25:24. Bass keeps improving on the season as some of his previous best times in 8k events were 26:52 and 27:13After Bass, the next Spartan to finish was Jonathan Berland in 193rd place and in 28:22.

The rest of the Spartans were not far behind Berland and finished with very similar times as Ames Helzer came in third for the Spartans and 202nd over with a time of 28:35, fourth was Brandon Sindt in 212th with a 29:02, Joesph Tobin ran a 29:05 for 213th, Christian Bension was fifth for Dubuque, 214th over with a 29:07 and Nicholas was right behind for 29:36 and 220th. Everyone finished in the top half of the individuals as there were 551 runners.

Their next meet is the IIAC Championships in Storm Lake, Iowa on October 29th.
