Bass Takes 2nd at IIAC Championships

STORM LAKE, Iowa- The University of Dubuque Men’s Cross Country finished seventh out of nine teams in the Iowa Conference Championship. Alec Bass paced the Spartans and finished second individually out of 178 total runners.

With his second place finish, Alec Bass earned IIAC All-Conference honors.  His time of 25.15.3 is a season best and only one second behind the University of Dubuque school record. Bass topped his previous career high of 26:16, which was second on the school record list. Dalton Moore finished second for UD with a time of 27:34.6, which was a season and career best for the freshman.

The season continues in two weeks when the team heads to NCAA Division III Regionals hosted by Carlton College in Northfield, Minnesota.
