Linksters Place Ninth at Fighting Scots Invitational

MONMOUTH. Ill. - The University of Dubuque women's team placed ninth among a very competitive field at the 2016 Monmouth College Fighting Scots Invitational this weekend.
Senior Amanda Harrop led the Spartans with rounds of 97 and 99 to finish tied for 33rd overall with a score of 196. Abigail Perry finished 43rd with rounds of 102, 105. Victoria Woltz shot rounds of 111-100 to tie for 46th, and Brianna Finnegan fiished with rounds of 116-115 to place 52nd overall.
The Spartans are preparing for the 2016 Iowa Conference Championships hosted on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 at Pheassant Ridge Golf Course in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The final two rounds will be played at Prairie Links Waverly, Iowa after the devasting floods around the Decorah area damaged Oneota Golf and Country Club from the hosting the final rounds of the women's championship.
