Sablay Third in "B" Flight Singles for Men's Tennis

WATERLOO, Iowa - The Spartans Matthew Sablay placed third in the "B" Flight Singles of the 2016 IIAC Men's Tennis Individual Tournament on Saturday. He earned Honorable Mention All-Iowa Conference for his efforts.
Sablay defeated Adam Olson (Nebraska Wesleyan) 8-5 in the second round of "B" Flight singles. In the quarterfinals, Sablay defeated Sam Nettleton (Wartburg) 7-5, 7-5. In semifinals, Cam Long (Luther) defeated Matthew Sablay 6-3, 6-2. He won the third place match by default over Kenny Goins (Luther).
Byrnes Park will play host to the IIAC Women's Individual Tournament on October 7-8.
