DUBUQUE, Iowa – University of Dubuque men’s and women’s lacrosse teams have designated their doubleheader on Saturday, March 4, as “Lace Up with LAX” charity games.

People are encouraged to bring a new pair of children’s shoes or a monetary donation to be donated to area children in need.

The Lace Up with LAX program is dedicated to defining the legacy of lacrosse players off the field by working to provide children who are homeless a new pair of shoes and, in turn, a step to a brighter future, according to the program’s website.

The men’s lacrosse team is schedule to play Trine University at noon at Oyen Field on campus, while the women’s lacrosse team will host Olivet College at 3:00 p.m. at the same location. There is no admission cost to attend the games.

UD’s Office of Vocation, Civic Engagement, and Life Services is coordinating the donations.
