Set in 1870s Norway, this master work by Isben, “the father of modern drama,” is often considered to be a feminist play. However, Isben denied any conscious attempt to write for any agenda beyond his concern for the description of humanity. A Doll’s House tells the story of Nora and Torvald Helmer. The story is ultimately about the need to find the self and to live true to that self, in spite of what society demands.

A Doll’s House is produced by special arrangement with Paradigm Talent.

Tickets for A Doll’s House can be purchased Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Farber Box Office, Heritage Center, University of Dubuque, 2255 Bennett Street; by phone at 563.585.SHOW; or online at www.dbq.edu/heritagecenter.
