BOX SCORE vs. Coe

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's soccer team needed a victory on Tuesday night to qualify for the IIAC Tournament, unfortunately the Spartans lost a competitive match 0-2 to the Coe College Kohawks.

An unfortunate miscue early in the game by the Spartans would give Coe an early lead 1-0 after the Spartans passed the ball back to the keeper only to have it misplayed and scored as an own goal in the 10 minute mark. The Kohawks would carry that 1-0 lead through 82 minutes before a score at 82:47 extended the lead 2-0. The Spartans finished with 14 shots and six shots on goal. Goal keep Megan Moll stopped three Kohawks shots on goal.

Kyleigh McLaughlin led the offense with five shots, trailed closely behind was Lexus Rose who had six and Lauren Cangelosi who had three shots. The trio ended the night with five shots on goal in the loss at Oyen Field.

UD finishes their season with a 6-10-1 overall mark and a 2-6 record in the IIAC.
