Women's Tennis Goes 1-1 On The Weekend

MEQUON, Wis. - The University of Dubuque women's tennis team came out of Saturday with one win and one defeat, beating Alverno 9-0 and falling to the host school, Concordia-Wisconsin, 1-8. Arantxa Martinez was the lone Spartan to win their match against Concordia-Wisconsin and go 2-0 on the day to remain undefeated this year in singles play. The most exciting match of the day came at the number two slot in singles agaisnt Alverno as Ines Albino dropped the first but rallied back and win set two in tiebreaker and take set three 10-5 to complete the comeback.
