Sunday, March 11 - UD vs Wesleyan

The Spartans jumped out to a quick 1-0 in the top of the first when Tyler Lewan grounded out to bring home Tyler Imrich. Chase Kueter got the start in the opening game of the Spartans spring break trip. After surrendering four earned runs in the first inning, Kueter settled down and only allowed one hit over the following 4 1/3 innings. Jarad Clevenger led the UD offesne, reaching base four times with three hits and one walk. Tyler Lewan and Jack Laswell both went 2 of 3 from the plate. UD had a 3-2 advantage in extra base hits.
Monday, March 12 - UD vs Augsburg Univ.

After 2.5 innings of scoress baseball, UD jumped on the scoreboard first in the bottom of the first after Jack Lasswell doubled to left center and was eventually brought home after a fielding error. Augsburg answered with a run in the top of the fifth then three runs on four hits in the final inning. UD tried to rally in the bottom half but only managed one run after a Meyer double and scored on an error and left one runner stranded. Doug Van Dyke started on the mound for UD, going 6 1/3, surrending four runs, three earned on seven hits. He sturck out four Augsburg batters.

UD scored early and often in the second game of the doubleheader, scoring eight of their nine runs in the first three innings. Thomas Kepf powered the offense, going 3 for 4, with two runs and one run batted in. Kempf's RBI came in the first inning after a single to center scored Dalton Garst. Tyler Imrich followed Kempf with a two run double to left field. Imrich, Luke Carroll and Josh Pawlowski each had two hits. After the first three Spartans reached base to open the second inning, UD manufactured two runs with and RBI ground out and a steal of home by Josh Pawlowski. Tyler Carlson was fantastic for the Spartans on the mound, scattering four hits over five scoreless innings in route to the win. Doug Knight came in to close out the final two innings for his UD debut.
Tuesday, March 13 - UD vs. Framingham State

Framingham State sent nine batters to the plate in the top of the second inning and plated five runs to go up 5-0. UD answered with runs in the bottom of the second and third with RBI's from Hoffman and Doherty. Framingham State would go on to score two runs in each inning from the fourth to eighth innings to blow it open. Dalton Garst had two RBI's for UD off of an RBI double in the sixth inning. Jack Lasswell and Gabriel Panza were the only two Spartans with more than one hit, both collecting two.
Wednesday, March 14 - UD vs Concordia (WI)

After Nathan Schneiderman sent down Concordia 1-2-3 in the top of the first inning, Dalton Garst led off the bottom half for the Spartans with a double down the left field line. Garst would score two batters later off of a sac fly from Thomas Kempf. UD tacked on another run in the bottom of the second when Luke Carrol reached on a hit by pitch and scored on a Dalton Garst single. Concordia would score six unaswered runs before Thomas Kempf recorded his second of three RBI's when he sigled home Michael Hoffman. Kempf would come up with another RBI in the bottom of the ninth but it was not enough. Kempf and Garst went a combined 5-for-9 and all four of UD's RBI's. Schneiderman went five innings on the hill for UD and surrendered six earned runs on seven hits but did record seven strikeouts. Nick Sewruk threw the final four innings and also gave up six earned runs.
Thursday, March 15 - UD vs. Marian University

The Spartans suffered a heartbreaking loss on Thursday afternoon, surrendering three runs in the bottom of the ninth to lose in a walk-off, 3-2. Chase Kueter was the tough luck loser on the mound. After both teams were held scoreless through three innings, UD broke through first in the fourth. Will Doherty began the inning with a double and eventually advanced to third on a balk before being brought home on an RBI sac fly out to center from Jarad Clevenger. The Spartans tacked on another run in the sixth as Doherty once again began the inning with a hit. It looked like the Sabres would strand Doherty but an error by the third baseman off the bat of Kramshuster, kept the inning alive and allowed Doherty to score UD's second run. Kueter dominated the Sabres for the first eight innings, punching out seven while only walking one. Unfortantely, five of the seven hits he gave up in the game came in the ninth inning, as did all three of his earned runs after a single with two outs in the ninth brought home the winning run.
Friday, March 15 - UD vs Hamline University

The UD baseball team ended their spring break trip in Tucson, Arizona with a 5-2 loss to Hamline University. Hamline scored two runs in the bottom
half of the first inning and led for the remainder of the game. UD cut their deficit to one in the top of the fifth after Thomas Kempf flied out to center
field to score Pawlowski. Hamline responded with two in the bottom half of the inning but UD manufacutred another run in the sixth when Zach McCoy
grounded out to shortstop to score Tyler Imrich. However, the Spartans bats could only record one more hit in the game and fell victim to Hamline.
Dalton Garst and Tyler Imrich both recorded two hits to combine for four of UD's six hits. Jarad Clevenger and Ian Meyer each had one hit. UD used three
pitchers with Michael Hoffman getting the start. He lasted 4.1 innings and allowed four runs on seven hits. Tyler Carlson went two innings, only allowing one
run, withDoug Van Dyke was the only Spartan to not surrender a run over 1.2 innings.
