Harriers Prepare for 36th Annual Augustana College Brissman-Lundeen Invitational

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The University of Dubuque women's and men's cross country teams will compete on Friday afternoon in the 36th Annual Augustana College Brissman-Lundeen Invitational. Over 50 teams are scheduled to compete in the competitive field at the Saukie Golf Course. The event is named in honor of Leroy Brissman and Vince Lundeen who founded the cross country program at Augustana.
The Spartans, after a week off, are anxious to improve on their times from a year ago. For the women's team, senior Kayla Kinateder is the top returner for UD, she placed 67th in a time of 24:40.9 and the Spartans placed 15th in the Blue race. On the men's side, Senior Alec Bass won the Gold event in a time of 25:51.1 and will be looking for a repeat in 2017.
