Klatka Named IIAC Defensive Player of the Week

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – University of Dubuque men’s soccer player, Kyle Klatka, was named Iowa Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.
Kyle Klatka (senior, Lake in the Hills, Ill.) helped limit the Spartans limit the #15 Loras College Duhawks to three shots on goal in the Spartans, 3-2 upset win on Saturday night at Loras. With just under 1:30 remaining in the game, Matheus Santos took a corner kick and Klatka headed it into the back of the net to give the Spartans the 3-2 lead and victory.
The men’s soccer team returns to action on Wednesday as they travel to UW-Platteville.
