Men Linksters Finish 5th and Sixth at Clarke University Invite

GALENA, Ill. - The University of Dubuque men's golf team continued their fall season at the competitive South Course at Eagle Ridge and placed fifth (322) and tied for sixth (324) in the 12 team tournement. A chilly afternoon and light breeze kept scores above par for all 76 competitors in the field. The Spartans were led by Anthony Mendoza who finished with a round of 77 or just five over par and two shots from making it a five way tie for the lead. Jordan Elliott tied for ninth with a 78 and Brady Ellis tied for 11th with a score of 79.
UD will play in the Tim Kopka Memorial Tournament hosted by Carthage College on Sept. 8-9 at Randall Oaks Golf Club in West Dundee, Ill.
