Men's Basketball End Season on Senior Day

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque battled a full 40 minutes on Saturday, Senior Day for Jamaree Atwater and T.J. Lake who both would lead the Spartans in scoring in a 82-95 loss in front of a capacity crowd against the Loras College Duhawks.
The Spartans were fighting for the final qualifying spot for the 2018 IIAC Tourney and finished the afternoon tied with Central College with an IIAC record of 7-9. UD lost the tie break as they were swept 2-0 by the Dutch which handed them the #6 seed and left the Spartans on the outside and ending their season earlier than they were hoping. Atwater would finish his final game with 21 points and five rebounds. Lake was held to 16 points and exited the game early with five fouls in 33 minutes of action. Freshman Michael Williams added 14 points and 10 rebounds and Marcus McDaniel 13 points in 19 minutes as he too would foul out in the loss.
UD finished their season with a 15-10 overall record and a 7-9 IIAC mark.
