Men's Lacrosse Stifled by Concordia

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The University of Dubuque men’s lacrosse team struggled on Saturday afternoon and fell to Concordia (WI) 10-2.

Concordia jumped right out of the gates with a goal just 59 seconds into action. The Spartans responded three minutes later when Davis Behrns found Michael Julius for a goal and tied the score at 1-1. The Falcons would go on to control the rest of the game, scoring nine unanswered goals after Julius’. It was not until there was 6:54 remaining in the fourth quarter when Julius scored his and the Spartans second goal of the game.

Michael Julius now has 11 goals in the Spartans four games this season. No other Spartan has more than two goals.

The Spartans committed eight penalties for a total of 8:30. Concordia made the Spartans pay with goals on three of them. Concordia’s defense limited UD to just 11 total shots, only four of which went on net.

The Spartans begin a three game road trip beginning on Friday in St. Louis, Missouri against Fontbonne University
