Spartans Face Tough Competition at UW-Platteville Invite

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - The University of Dubuque women's and men's track and field teams competed in the UW-Platteville Invitational on Saturday in the warm confines of Williams Fieldhouse. Plenty of stout competition with UD, Concordia (WI), Carthage College, Viterbo University, Loras College, Beloit College, Wisconsin Lutheran College, Ripon College, Carroll University, Trinity Christian, Milwaukee School of Engineering, North Park University, Luther College, Hawkeye Community College, and Rockford University competing.
UD Women's Winners include:
Heather Muntz - 800m run - 1st in 2:22.42
Brittany Burks - 60m hurdles - 1st in :09.19
UD Men's Winners include:
Kyle Thomas - 60m dash - 1st in :06.93
Colfay Pointer - 400m dash - 1st in :49.42
Blaze Murfin - Shot put - 1st with a throw of 17.16m/56'-3.75"
Blaze Murfin - weight throw - 1st with a toss of 18.17m/59'-7.25"
