Three Men's Tennis Members IIAC Honorable Mention

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Iowa Conference announced the All-Conference teams for the 2018 men’s tennis season on Thursday, naming three Spartans honorable mention.
Seniors Ranfer Hernandez and Matthew Sablay capped their careers grabbing Honorable Mention All-Iowa Conference with freshman Juan Quiroga rounded out the UD trio on the honorable mention list.
Ranfer Hernandez (Chia Cundinamarca, Colombia), went 9-6 this season in singles play with all but two matches coming at the number three slot. Hernandez ended the season on a five match win streak and six of seven overall. He also went 6-10 in doubles play, in all but two of those 16 matches he was paired up with Juan Quiroga.
Matthew Sablay (Rowland Heights, Calif.) played the number one spot for the Spartans all season, going 6-10. He won his final two matches at Nebraska Wesleyan and at Buena Vista. Sablay went 5-12 in doubles.
Juan Quiroga (Briceno, Columbia) had a solid freshman campaign, going 6-8 at number two for the Spartans, finishing the season on a four match win streak. He teamed up with Hernandez in doubles, going 5-10 overall in doubles and 5-9 with Hernandez.
