Track and Field Hosts Dr. Tucker Open

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Univeristy of Dubuque track and field teams had an impressive showing Friday night at the Dr. Tucker Open, the final meet before the Iowa Conference Championships.
The Spartans brought home first place finishes in 13 different events on Friday night. Two student-athletes won two events each, Blaze Murfin in the hammer and discus on the men's side and Tanasha Atwater on the women's side in the shot put and hammer. The Spartan women put up a stellar performance in the discus throw, taking the top five spots in the event. No team points were kept.
