Track and Field with Busy Friday

DES MOINES, Iowa – The University of Dubuque track and field team competed in eight events at the Drake Relays on Friday afternoon while also bringing home both the men and women team titles at the Grand View Viking Classic.
Drake Relays Results
Women 4x100 – 19th Place - 48.66
Men 4x100 – 8th Place - 41.90 - Qualifies for finals on Saturday at 3:27 p.m.
Blaze Murfin - 18th Place in Shot Put – 16.36m/53-8.25
Abby Willis – 8th Place in Javelin – 40.82m/133-11
Tanasha Atwater – 8th Place in Shot Put – 14.71m/48-3.25
Women Sprint Medley – 8th Place – 4:11.08
Men Sprint Medley – 14th Place – 3:33.26
To go along with the men’s 4x100 finals tomorrow, the Spartans will also take place in the 4x200 relay at 10:33 and 10:48 a.m., shuttle hurdle at 11:40 and 11:56 and Tanasha Atwater and Blaze Murfin will both compete in the hammer throw beginning at 9:00 a.m.
