Track and Field with Strong Performance on Senior Day

DUBUQUE, Iowa – Both University of Dubuque Track and Field teams had an impressive Friday night, as the women’s team took home the team title, while the men finished second out of nine teams.
The University of Dubuque hosted the Spartan Invitational at AY McDonald Indoor Track in the Chlapaty Rec Center, where Augustana, Clarke, Cornell, UD, Loras, Luther, Mt. Mercy, UW-Platteville and Simpson all participated.
The UD women’s team won with 120 points, while the men’s team came in second with 125, only eight and a half points behind winner UW-Platteville.
The Spartans will travel to Pella, Iowa next Friday and Saturday for the Indoor Iowa Conference Championships at Central College.
