Women's Basketball Collect 35 Points from Bench

BOX SCORE vs. North Central College (Ill.)

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The University of Dubuque's women's basketball started a bit sluggish in Saturday's match-up and the host North  Central College took a first advantage 42-26 into the halftime locker room. The visiting Spartans rallied and outscored the hosts 35-29 in the second half in the 61-71 loss.

UD enjoyed 35 points from their reserves with CeCe Pope leading the Spartans with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Kennedy Collins came off the bench to score 11 points in 29 minutes of action. Abbey Meyer led the starters with 12 points, six rebounds and three steals. Starter T'Nauszhae Robinson crashed the boards for eight rebounds. 

Both teams struggled at the free throw line: UD sank 18-32 free throws (56.3%) and North Central didn't fare much better making 13-25 free throw attempts (52%) and were 14-49 in three point shot attempts.

The Spartans will enjoy some time off for Christmas break before returning to play in the Nashville Tournament in Nashville, Tenn. on Dec. 29 vs. Wesleyan University and Dec. 30 vs. Shenandoah University.
