Women's Golf Finish 5th at IIAC Championships

INDIANOLA, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's golf team finished in their highest finish ever with a fifth place (340-340-376-350-1406) in the 2017 IIAC Women's Golf Championships played over four grueling rounds. The ladies played through wet, windy conditions on the final weekend where play was suspended periodically and play was halted with the final three teams fighting for the lead unable to complete Friday's round.
The Spartans finished just six shots out of a fourth place finish for coach Dustin Bierman. Elizabeth Stalla led UD with a 17th place finish after shooting rounds of 85-83-88-85-341. Maddie Strum was 20th, Daniela Miranda tied for 21st, Caroline Giorgi tied for 25th, and Hannah Hamann was 36th.
