Women's Soccer Hold Duhawks in Check in Second Half

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's soccer allowed two quick goals and then settled in and stopped the Loras Duhawks offense after the opening 10 minutes in a 0-2 loss at the Rock Bowl.
Loras scored at 2:58 and at 8:26 and was held out of the net for the final 81:34. The Spartans finished with nine shots and three being on goal. Lauren Cangelosi led with four shots and two on goal. A physical game saw the Duhawks finish with 10 fouls against the Spartans. Victoria Roethler made 12 saves in 72:22 before being relieved by Paige Dykstra.
UD is 3-4-1 overall and 0-1 in Iowa Conference play and will host UW-Platteville on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. on Oyen Field.
