Women's Tennis Fall to Kohawks 3-6

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's tennis lost to the Coe College Kohawks by a 3-6 margin. UD captured the #2 doubles with Ashley Palacios-Quinonez/Megan Ranney winning 8-3. The Spartans captured #1 singles when Arantxa Martinez (DBQW) def. Haley Resnick (COEW) 6-3, 6-3. Megan Ranney won at #4 singles in a marathon match to defeat Lakyn Boltz (COEW) 3-6, 6-3, 11-9 in the tie break. Martinez improved her singles victories (#1 singles) this season to 12-0 and Ranney is 10-2 at #4 singles.
The Spartans play at St. Ambrose on Monday, Oct. 2 at 3:30 p.m.
