Wrestling Black Out Friday vs. Luther

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque will be hosting the Luther College Norse on Friday, 26 at 7:00 p.m. Wrestling fans are requested to wear black for the 'Black Out' night against the Norse and the wrestling team will be giving away t-shirts to the first 80 fans on Friday and pizza will be available.

In the January 8, 2018 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) team rankings, Wartburg garnered the No. 2 spot, Loras was ranked No. 5, Coe at No. 7 and Central at No. 9. The d3wrestle.com team rankings, released January 10, 2018 placed Wartburg in the No. 1 position, Loras came in at No 8, Central ranked 10th and Coe was 15th. Next NWCA rankings will be on January 22.
The Spartans went 2-1 at the IIAC Duals last weekend including a 28-15 victory over the #9-ranked Central College Dutch.
The Five Flags Center in Dubuque, Iowa will bring 17 teams together for the NCAA Division III Lower Midwest Regional Wrestling Tournament Saturday, February 24, 2018 and Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018 with Loras College hosting the tournament. Wrestlers will be competing for a spot in the 2018 NCAA Division III National Wrestling Championship held March 9 -10 at the Cleveland Public Auditorium in Cleveland, Ohio. The top three wrestlers from each of the 10 weight classes will receive automatic qualification to the NCAA National Championship Tournament.
