Wrestling Takes Down MSOE and UW-Oshkosh at UD Duals

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque wrestling team went 2-0 for the second straight weekend, this time at the UD Duals while beating Milwaukee School of Engineering 42-3 and UW-Oshkosh 27-9.
Ethan Cain (197 lbs.) finished the afternoon with a fall over Duncan Heath (MSOE) in 1:55) and earned a technical fall in 4:00 over Jordan Lemcke (WIOS) after leading 16-0. #8-ranked Quincy Kalkbrenned (157 lbs.) captured a fall over Jack Rathburn (MSOE) in 4:21 and won a hard fought battle over Shane Dziadosz (UW-Oshkosh) in a decision 9-2. Armad Willis (133 lbs.) won a pair of decisions, over Preston Makoutz (MSOE) by a score of 9-3 and Jaylen Johnson (UW-Oshkosh) in a 6-2 final. Andrew Turner at 165 lbs. allowed just one point scored against him, in wins over Drew Matticks (MSOE) 9-1 and over Christian Quiles (UW-Oshkosh) 13-0.
The Spartans will be on the road until they host the Luther College Norse in an Iowa Conference dual on Jan. 26 at 7:00 p.m. in Stoltz Sports Center.
