Cross Country at Mount Mercy Mustang Gallop

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's and men's cross country teams fought through a warm humid and breezy afternoon at Seminole Valley Park to finish fourth overall for the women (88 pts.) and third for the men's team (52 pts.) in the 25th Annual running of the Mount Mercy Mustang Gallop. Leading the women's team in the 4K race was sophomore Edith Flores who placed ninth overall in 16:43. Senior Alec Bass placed second overall and just 2.6 seconds behind the winner in a time of 15:34.9 in the men's 5K race.
