Holiday Capers with Junie B. Jones at University of Dubuque Heritage Center

DUBUQUE, Iowa – University of Dubuque Heritage Center continues its 2018-2019 Live at Heritage Center Family Series with Junie B. in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells, performed by Casa Mañana Theatre of Fort Worth, Texas, on Sunday, Dec. 2, at 2:00 p.m. in John and Alice Butler Hall. This play is produced in collaboration with Wally Jones and written by Allison Gregory, adapted from Barbara Park’s popular book series.

In Junie B. in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells, the students of Room One happily create the perfect holiday party. That is until Junie B. draws the name of her arch nemesis, Tattletale May, for her Secret Santa gift exchange. Perhaps the Secret Santa gift is the perfect opportunity to give May exactly what she deserves? Holiday shenanigans ensue offering a fun lesson about giving which befits the season.

Junie B. in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells is produced by Casa Mañana Theatre. This performance is approximately 60 minutes in length. There will be an opportunity to meet performers in the lobby following the show.

Mediacom Arts and Culture grant funding has been provided to support Family Series related “Page to Stage” programming at local county libraries.
