Spartans Track and Field Show Team Effort at 2019 UW-Platteville Invite

2019 UW_P Indoor Track and Field Invite
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - The University of Dubuque women's and men's track and field teams claimed four titles and were runner-ups on 10 others in a successful day at the 2019 UW-Platteville Indoor Track and Field Invite. Once again it was a team effort where the UD women's team would claim 17 Top-5 finishes. The Spartans men's team would end the afternoon with 15 Top-5 placings including dominating the men's shot put by earning all, but one of the top-5 placings!
UD will host the 2019 UD Spartan Invite on Friday afternoon, February 15 at 2 p.m. for field events and 3 p.m. for running events. Teams expected to compete include: Augustana College (IL), Clarke University, Cornell College, University of Dubuque, Loras College, Luther College, UW-Platteville, Saait Mary's University (MN), Simpson College, and William Penn University.
The American Rivers Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships will be hosted by Wartburg College on Feb. 22-23 in Waverly, Iowa. The Spartan men's team will be looking for a three-peat when competition begins.
