Women's Golf Finish Second at Monmouth College Invite

MONMOUTH, Ill. - The University of Dubuque women's golf team finished second at the two day Monmouth College Fighting Scots Invitational on Sunday, Sept. 9. The Spartans shot a first day total of 335 and took five strokes off the second day to finish with a round of 330 and were just six shots from the winner.
Daniela Miranda led UD with rounds of 82 and 80 to finish tied for sixth place overall as teammate Madison Bowers finished the weekend with rounds of 82 and 92 for a tie for eighth place overall. The Spartans second squad shot rounds of 354 and 365 to place eighth overall. Elizabeth Stalla led the second group with rounds of 86 and 89 to tie for 22nd overall.
The Spartans continue play at the Clarke University Invite on Sept. 15 and 16 at Eagle Ridge Resort South Course in Galena, Ill.
