Ghost Ranch 2000

The 27th annual Southwest Field Studies course was marked by great weather and an enthusiastic field team.Informative reports from returning students en route helped to guide the field observations, and flowering plants and animal life were especially plentiful. We saw more herds of pronghorns than ever before, and we even had a close-up view of elk from the bus for the first time!!

Bob Miller, Bill Niemann, Dan Call, and Rob Dillinger combined to form an effective group of faculty for the thirty students. From volcanoes to cacti, dinosaurs to dippers,we all know a great deal more about the Southwest now.
